This Is Not What I Expected

Weekend Impressions:

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be the Number One film at the box office over the weekend. I have seen the film (review coming soon).  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is far better than the original  film and the original was a national and international hit. Like with the release of The Fate of the Furious four weeks ago, all of the other major releases that could have been released this weekend decided to be released next week or weeks from now.

Wise choice. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is funnier and even more action-packed than the original film. It’s a comic book film and a family film that will satisfy action and science-fiction fans alike. No other film that is being released this weekend can say all of those things. No other films released in the last few weeks can say all of those things.

The Fate of the Furious will be Second this weekend. The Fate of the Furious impressively held the Top Spot at the box office for three weeks a row. With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the fate of the latest film in The Fast and the Furious franchise (at the top of the box office) has been sealed.

How to be a Latin Lover will be Third.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will be Fourth.

The Baby Boss will be Fifth. This will be the last weekend in which The Baby Boss cracks the Top Five. The Baby Boss hung in there far better than The Circle, which bombed in its opening weekend last week.
