NYMPHOMANIAC (2013): New Cast and Director Image + New Release Date

Nymphomaniac Image, Release Date. A new photograph for Nymphomaniac (2013) has been released from the Lars von Trier directed film as well as an update on its eventual theatrical release. The Nymphomaniac picture features many of the film’s stars including Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgård, Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell, Stacy Martin,Christian Slater,Uma Thurman,Willem Dafoe,Connie Nielsen,Udo Kier, and Jean-Marc Barr. The Nymphomaniac image also includes the director of the film with grey scotch tap over his mouth, “an obvious joke tied to his comments at Cannes during this time two years ago.”

The photo seems more like a Photoshop construction than a actual picture but it is still cool nonetheless.

Nymphomaniac will make its world premiere in Denmark movie theaters on December 25, 2013, and should land in the US in 2014.

Nymphomaniac‘s plot synopsis: “The film is a wild and poetic story of a woman’s erotic journey from birth to the age of 50 as told by the main character, the self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, Joe (Gainsbourg). On a cold winter’s evening the old, charming bachelor, Seligman (Skarsgård), finds Joe beaten up in an alley. He brings her home to his flat where he cares for her wounds while asking her about her life. He listens intently as Joe over the next 8 chapters recounts the lushly branched-out and multi-faceted story of her life, rich in associations and interjecting incidents.”
