The returning cast member include Zhao Wei (aka Vicki Zhao) as Princess Jing, Zhou Xun as Xiao Wei and Chen Kun as general Huo Xin. The supporting cast include Feng Shaofeng as exorcist Pang, Fei Xiang (aka Kris Phillips) as the Tian Lang wizard, Yang Mi as Que’er and Chen Tingjia (aka Chen Tingyan) as the Tian Lang Queen.

Even though Chen Kun, Zhou Xun, and Zhao Wei will return in the sequel, it seems they are playing entirely new characters.
