PAN (2015) Movie Trailer 3: One More for Joe Wright’s Newest

Pan Trailer 3

Pan Trailer 3. Joe Wright‘s Pan (2015) movie trailer 3 stars Hugh Jackman, Levi Miller, Jimmy Vee, Rooney Mara, and Amanda Seyfried. Pan‘s plot synopsis: “The story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny — to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.”

Sometimes I wonder why studios cut so many trailers for their films. Then something like this happens: I didn’t care for Pan until this trailer. For some reason, this one has me hooked (sigh). Though some of this looks fairly artificial (I’m talking mainly about Garrett Hedlund’s supposed manliness and aping of Harrison Ford), some of it looks so beautifully constructed and the story so simple and effective that I can’t help but think I’ll be swooped up for the ride. Of course, this will only work in a movie theatre, I fear, and I fear even more that this is the kind of movie I’ll relegate to watching on an airplane and deem mediocre. Then again, anything by Joe Wright is worth watching on opening day, in my book. Here’s hoping the reviews are great and I have $12 extra dollars in my pocket come October.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
