In 2006 their feature film debut, Bandidas, starring Penélope Cruz and Salma Hayek, was released worldwide through EuropaCorp and Twentieth Century Fox. The film was written and produced by legendary French filmmaker Luc Besson.

His 2012 film Kon-Tiki was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards.

Espen Sandberg (born 16 June 1971 in Sandefjord ) is a Norwegian film director and advertising producer who along with his partner, Joachim Rønning , in 2006 he created the French-produced western comedy, Bandidas in Mexico .
