Rita Attacks Trini/Yellow Ranger in New Image from Power RangersWe have not seen any action from the upcoming Power Rangers reboot yet, until now. In this new image, we have our first deadly encounter with villain Rita (Elizabeth Banks) and Trini/Yellow Ranger (Becky Gomez).

In the image released by Entertainment Weekly, things are not looking well for Trini as she tries to put up a fight against Rita as the villain tries to take down the teen in her bedroom. Speaking with EW, the actress described the process in doing that scene. In regards to the scene, she said, “Rita tries to make Trini feel like she’s the weakest link of the Power Rangers, and she feels it’s easiest to go for her. Rita’s the type to play a lot of mind games, and Trini’s [thinking], ‘Can I really overpower Rita Repulsa or can I not?'” It does sound like fun the way Becky is describing this fight.

With only a few months left to shoot, the actress gave an update on production and the film’s plans for San Diego Comic Con this month. “We’re done with the majority of filming now. We have some reshoots coming up which I’m excited for, because I’ll get to see everybody again. We have Comic-Con before that, which is even more exciting because it’ll be my first time ever.”

Directed by Dean Isrealite, Power Rangers will be released on March 24, 2017. So check out the new image below and let us know what you think.
