PREACHER: Season 1, Episode 10: Call and Response: Trailer & Clip [AMC]

Dominic Cooper Ruth Negga Preacher Call and Response

AMC’s Preacher Call and Response trailer & clip. For his last trick of the season, Jesse (Dominic Cooper) has asked for some cooperation from the audience, and it looks like he’s about to get it. Of course he does – it isn’t everyday a small town of Bible-thumpers get to see a fallen Preacher pull God out of a hat.

That call for cooperation won’t sit well with everyone, of course – with Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) getting the screws from Sheriff Root (W. Earl Brown), for one – but when “even worse Redneck,” Donnie (Derek Wilson) accommodates the Preacher, it’s the sort of thing to give glass-door-smashing-plastic-flamingo wielders pause.

Speaking of Tulip (Ruth Negga) – beyond a hint of the old laying of hands, with Jess (and not the Donnie kind, I imagine) – I do believe I spotted what looks to be the full Genesis trio walking the aisle, leading up to the opening act. Whether they hit the road by the end of the season finale: TBD; ‘cause first comes the Word, and the Word is God.

‘Call and Response’ also stars Lucy Griffiths, Ian Colletti, Anatol Yusef, Tom Brooke, Richard Barela, Gianna LePera, Juliana Potter, Graham McTavish, and Jackie Earle Haley. It airs Sunday, July 31, at 9:00pm EST, on AMC.
