PREACHER: Teaser Trailer Gives Some Footage [AMC]

Dominic Cooper Preacher Teaser

AMC Unveils a Teaser Trailer for Preacher. In anticipation for Sunday’s full trailer of AMC’s upcoming series Preacher, the network released a teaser trailer offering some footage. It’s only a few snippets, but it offered our first look at the series lead, being played by Dominic Cooper.

In the teaser trailer, we see glimpses of footage from what looks like the pilot episode of the new series, which is based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s popular comic book series. We don’t see much, but we do get a quick glance at Dominic Cooper’s Jesse Custer and Joseph Gilgun’s hard-drinking Irish vampire Cassidy. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are developing the series. Even though this is just the teaser, we can still see the full trailer during this Sunday’s super-sized episode of The Walking Dead.

From the critically acclaimed but controversial 90s comic book franchise, Preacher follows the story of Jesse Custer, a troubled priest who merges with a deity known as Genesis who bestows upon him a power that rivals God. Travelling with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy, these three companions go on a road trip across the country to literally find God. The series is set to premiere in mid-2016.
