PRINCE OF DARKNESS: Don Cheadle In Negotiations To Act And Produce

Don Cheadle Could Star And Produce For Prince Of Darkness

Academy Award-nominated Hotel Rwanda actor Don Cheadle is in the middle of talks to star and produce Prince of Darkness.

In addition to his critically-acclaimed turn as Rwandan hotel manager Paul Rusesabagina, Cheadle is also recognized for his appearances in Crash, Flight, and the Ocean’s Eleven series. However, he is probably best known for playing Marty Kaan in Showtime‘s House of Lies and Lt. Col. James Rhodes, better known by his nickname “Rhodey” or better yet his alias War Machine, in the Iron Man and Avengers series.

Should Cheadle end up working on the project, it won’t be the first time he produces a film that he plays the lead in. Just last year, his Miles Davis passion project Miles Ahead was released after the actor spent ten years writing, producing, directing, and starring.

Comingsoon.net, the source of this story, provides the following information about the film:

The Amazon description for the book states, “In the middle decades of the nineteenth century Jeremiah G. Hamilton was a well-known figure on Wall Street. Cornelius Vanderbilt, America’s first tycoon, came to respect, grudgingly, his one-time opponent. The day after Vanderbilt’s death on January 4, 1877, an almost full-page obituary on the front of the National Republican acknowledged that, in the context of his Wall Street share transactions, ‘There was only one man who ever fought the Commodore to the end, and that was Jeremiah Hamilton.’

When I'm not working towards my certificate in Radio and Television/Video Production at Fullerton College, I enjoy reading (horror, science fiction, and historical/political nonfiction are particular favorites), participating in my school's TV and theatre clubs, attending movie screenings, plays, concerts, and other events, and trying to come up with pithy things to say on social media. Believe it or not, there are occasions where I find time to write for my own leisure.
