PRISM (2013): Christian Madsen Named New Star of Indie Flick

Christian Madsen will star in the upcoming indie Prism (2013), which chronicles a strained father-son reunion. Prism reunites Bryan, an aspiring writer, with his estranged father, fifteen years after he mysteriously disappeared. The more Bryan learns about his father the more distorted the truth becomes.

Other talent attached to Prism includes Christy Romano, Marcos A. Ferraez, and Amy Hargreaves. Romano is also listed as a producer along with Jo Henriquez.

Cal Robertson will direct the piece. Robertson, along with Brendan Rooney, penned the script together. The film is currently in production on the East Coast, rumored to be shooting in New York and Connecticut.

Madsen, the son of actor Michael Madsen, has been slated for multiple projects this upcoming year. He will appear alongside Shailene Woodley and Theo James in the highly anticipated YA film Divergent (2013). He’ll also be seen in Palo Alto starring James Franco and Emma RobertsGia Coppola is directing Palo Alto. He will also be seen in Jack Squarred with Elias Koteas.

Madsen’s past films include Refuge from the Storm (2012) and In Time (2012 –although uncredited).

Christian Madsen is represented by Creative Partners Group.

Michael Madsen has appeared in more than 150 films, most of them small independent films, including pictures Reservoir Dogs, Free Willy, and Kill Bill. He also is credited with voice work in several video games such as Grand Theft Auto III, True Crime: Streets of L.A., and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
