PROJECT X (2012) Teaser Trailer: Nima Nourizadeh, Todd Phillips

Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper, Project X

Project X Teaser TrailerNima Nourizadeh‘s Project X (2012) teaser trailer, produced by Todd Phillips, stars Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper, Nichole Bloom, and Martin Klebba. Project X‘s plot synopsis: “Three high school seniors throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things begin to spiral insanely out of control as word of the party spreads.”

This looks pretty badass, the party in Old School mixed with The Hangover and MTV.

On testing screenings for Project X and the feel of the film plus a Michael Bay joke:

Reports out of test screenings have called Project X “the new Superbad” and similar superlatives.

So in the ’80s and ’90s there were the giant staged MTV Spring Break specials, and now we have this vision of the ultimate underage party, enhanced by Central Casting models and a budget that wouldn’t feed the electricians on a Michael Bay movie, but far outstrips and sweet 16 you’ve ever been to.

Project X also stars Miles Teller, Sam Lant, Alexis Knapp, Brendan Miller, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Alex Rose Wiesel, Eddie Hassell, Peter Mackenzie, and Sophia Santi.
