Netflix Unveils A Teaser Poster for The Punisher

As we look forward to The Defenders this summer, the next Marvel series for Netflix coming out later this year is The Punisher, and we have a teaser poster for it. Jon Bernthal received rave reviews for his portrayal of the character, so we are already excited that he’ll have his own series.

In a surprising move, Jon Bernthal went on Instagram to reveal that The Punisher will be releasing this year. That is some great news after the lackluster performance of Iron Fist. In that post, we got the announcement in the form of a teaser poster that showed the bullets forming the iconic logo of the vigilante. It will be interesting to see how well the series turns out after seeing Castle in action during the second season of Daredevil.

We were introduced to Frank Castle in Daredevil, where we received a bit of back-story on how the man became a vigilante. Steve Lightfoot will be serving as showrunner for the upcoming series’ first season. We don’t know when the series will drop on Netflix this year, but our best guess is that we may be seeing it come out during the fourth quarter of the year.

We doubt that Castle will make an appearance in The Defenders, but at least we will be seeing him again in his own show. Check out the poster below and let us know what you think. Are you excited for The Punisher to come out later this year?
