Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joins The Cast Of Planned Rampage Film
In addition to playing Negan in the massively popular AMC apocalyptic drama series, Morgan had recurring roles in Supernatural, Grey’s Anatomy, Magic City, and The Good Wife. On the big screen, he is known for his appearances in Watchmen, Taking Woodstock, Red Dawn, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where he had a cameo as Bruce Wayne’s father Thomas Wayne.
Coincidentally, the project will see Morgan’s Agent Russell spar alongside his old Watchmen co-star Malin Akerman, who will portray the film’s main villain. Also slated to appear in the movie are Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jack Lacy, PJ Byrne, and Jack Quaid.
Superherohype, the source of this story, shares the following information about the movie’s production:
This will mark the third collaboration between Johnson, producer Beau Flynn, director Brad Peyton and New Line, having worked on Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas together as well. The latter film earned over $473 million at the global box offices, making it the most successful original blockbuster of summer 2015.
Carlton Cuse (San Andreas) and his Colony co-creator Ryan Condal will rewrite the script by Non-Stop screenwriter Ryan Engle, which will involve Johnson going toe-to-toe with the game’s three original beasties.
