The first photograph of Olivia Cooke as Art3mis in Ready Player One (2018) have been released by Warner Bros. The Samantha Evelyn Cook / Art3mis (Olivia Cooke) picture features the aforementioned actress and Parzival / Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) in an OASIS cafe that could be a Pipe establishment. In the image, it seems as though Art3mis and Parzival are meeting for the first time. I just finished reading the book. Because of that, I can now see that they changed a lot of the film around based upon the content in the trailer and in this image. I won’t ruin the novel but Parzival and Art3mis don’t meet like that in the real world in the book.

Ready Player One‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Ernest Cline, “In the year 2044, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the virtual utopia known as the OASIS. Wade’s devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world’s digital confines–puzzles that are based on their creator’s obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them.”

The people and companies behind-the-scenes of Ready Player One include the following: Ready Player One was a Warner Bros. Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures production. Bruce Berman executive produced the film. Steven Spielberg, Donald De Line,  Dan Farah, and Kristie Macosko Krieger were regular producers on the film.

Ready Player One also stars Hannah John-Kamen, T.J. Miller, Ben Mendelsohn, Mark Rylance, Lena Waithe, Kae Alexander, Ralph Ineson, Julia Nickson, Letitia Wright, Armani Jackson, Kiera Bell, and Jacob Bertrand.

Ready Player One‘s screenplay was written by Ernest Cline, Zak Penn, and Eric Eason. Alan Silvestri composed the music for the film.
