Sienna Guillory is returning to the Resident Evil franchise in 2012 for Resident Evil 5. Sienna Guillory appeared in Resident Evil: Afterlife as Jill Valentine as the very end of the 3D horror film after the credits briefly began. We wrote about the scene, posted the scene in its entirety, and high resolution photos from it here: Resident Evil: Afterlife: Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory) Video and Photos. We discussed the Resident Evil horror movie franchise and its last entry here: Resident Evil: Afterlife: What this Horror Franchise Movie did Wrong. Sienna Guillory disclosed her full return (not just a cameo) to the Resident Evil franchise in Resident Evil 5 – she was last in Resident Evil: Apocalypse – via her Twitter account @guillorybe. She tweeted on March 18, 2011
RE:5 alert! Training begins! I aim to mostly put less in the big hole on the front of my face than comes out of the little one on my arse.
She’s a humorous girl. Too bad that humor wouldn’t be part of her on-screen character. That hasn’t stopped others from making jokes about this horror franchise though.
Somewhere there is an alternate dimension where there is either no Resident Evil movie series or it is one of the best horror sci-fi series ever. Unfortunately we live in neither dimension and so are stuck with the dreadful films.
Others have reported that both Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson will be returning for the fifth film but no word yet whether Anderson will again be directing or just producing. Resident Evil 5 will be released in theaters on September 14, 2012, no doubt in 3D as well. After all, there is money to be made here people. Far be it that a quality, scary, well-written horror film without the massive plot holes was delivered. Bring on the girls, guns, and the cheese.
