Richard Kelly’s THE BOX Movie Trailer
I have been looking forward to a worthy Richard Kelly follow-up to Donnie Darko for some time and it seems like this time, Kelly may have delivered with The Box. The Box is based on the Richard Matheson short story Button, Button, who also wrote the excellent short story I Am Legend. The Box synopsis: One night in Richmond, Virginia in 1976, a financially strapped, married couple Norma Lewis (Cameron Diaz) and Arthur Lewis (James Marsden) “receive a box containing a button. The next morning a mysterious disfigured stranger, Arlington Steward (Frank Langella), tells them that pushing the button on the box will have two consequences. First someone in the world, whom they don’t know will die. And second they will receive $1,000,000.” Check out the trailer below. The Box is scheduled to be released on October 30, 2009.
