RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2011) Movie Trailer 3

Caesar, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, 2011

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movie Trailer 3 has premiered. Rupert Wyatt‘s Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) movie trailer 3 stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, and Brian Cox. Rise of the Planet of the Apes‘ plot synopsis: “An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”

For this movie trailer, 20th Century Fox said: “To hell with it. Let’s give it all away and get a big turn out for the first weekend.” From the synopsis, I would would say most if not all of the story arch is in this movie trailer. It is entertaining but why show/tell the viewer everything in two minutes? Aren’t trailers supposed to entice, not just be a highlight reel?
