SABAN’S POWER RANGERS (2017): First Official Look at the Assembled Team

Power Rangers First Look

First Photo Released of the New Team for Power Rangers Reboot. It’s morphin’ time as we get our first glimpse at the new team of teenagers who will soon suit up for the Power Rangers reboot. Even though they aren’t in their colorful outfits, we get to see the teens behind the masks.

EW released the first image of the new team of Power Rangers who will be sharing the screen in the new film. Among the new teens are Trini (Becky G), Billy (RJ Cyler), Kimberly (Naomi Scott), Zack (Ludi Lin), and Jason (Dacre Montgomery). Despite not being in their colorful costumes, director Dean Israelite spoke to the publication about the new costumes. “We’ve really pushed ourselves to make them feel different from any other superhero costume that’s out there,” he said. “One key that’s different to the Power Ranger suits is that they’re not really suits that people get into. They’re suits that morph onto our kids, so they already have this almost metaphysical quality to them.”

We also have the official synopsis for the film, which you can read here:

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
