This is FilmBook‘s first year covering the San Francisco International Film Festival. FilmBook has been adding more and more annual film festival to our coverage list each year. SFIFF is the latest and we are overjoyed that we were granted permission to cover it as a member of the press. New FilmBook writer Reggie Peralta will be covering the festival this year for us in San Francisco, California.
The 59th Annual San Francisco International Film Festival
Founded in 1957 [and organized by the San Francisco Film Society], the San Francisco International Film Festival is the longest-running film festival in the Americas…[Held for two weeks, this year, the festival has] balanced undiscovered international gems and high-profile American titles…At this year’s Festival, they are pleased to feature 9 films produced by Film Society grantees and residents.
As with any film festival, we will not be able to see and cover every film shown (a near impossible feat) but we will be seeing and reporting on a great deal of them.
