San Sebastián International Film Festival 2010

The 2010 San Sebastián International Film Festival has been announced. The 58th Annual San Sebastián International Film Festival is an annual International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) A category film festival held in the Spanish city of  Donostia-San Sebastián. This film festival “endeavors to promote better understanding between peoples and to boost development of the film industry and culture.” This year’s festival runs from September 17 – September 25, 2010 in Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain.

At the conclusion of the festival, the International Jury grants the following awards:

• Concha de Oro for best film (for the producer)

• Concha de Plata for best director

• Concha de Plata for best actress

• Concha de Plata for best actor

• Jury Award for best cinematography

• Jury Award for best screenplay

The Kutxa-New Directors Award, decided by a Jury other than that of the Official Section which comes with 90,000

The Donostia Award, awarded to a great film personality in recognition for their work and career.

Euros, for the Spanish importer (or to the Spanish producer in the event that the film is totally or partially produced in Spain) and to the director of the winning film, will also be presented at the Official Closing Gala.

The TCM Audience Award, determined by audience vote from among the films presented in the Zabaltegi-Pearls Section. The TCM Audience Award comes with 105.000 Euros.
