The Savages‘ photo shows Benicio Del Toro blowing smoke into the face of Blake Lively. Since this a film in part concerning marijuana, we can only guess as to the true nature of the smoke.

Olive Stone’s Savages is based on “Don Winslow’s novel of the same name, [who co-wrote the script with Shane Salerno] about two small-time pot growers…University of California, Berkeley graduate Ben (Aaron Johnson) and former U.S. Navy SEAL Chon (Taylor Kitsch)…and their shared girlfriend O (Blake Lively). Their little world gets messed up when O is kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel as a means of strong-arming the two guys into working for the cartel.”

Other notable roles and stars in the film:

Del Toro plays the cartel enforcer with Uma Thurman as Lively’s Mom, Salma Hayek as the leader of the cartel, John Travolta as a burnt-out DEA agent, the recently Oscar nominated Demian Bichir as a double-crossing attorney who represents Hayek’s cartel, Joel David Moore as a computer nerd andEmile Hirsch in an unnamed role.

Savages also stars Joel David Moore, Gillian Zinser, Jonathan Patrick Moore, Demián Bichir, Mía Maestro, and Gary Stretch.
