Kristen Stewart will play Snow White in Rupert Sanders‘ Snow White and the Huntsman (2012). Snow White and the Huntsman producer Palak Patel indicated through his twitter account that The Twilight Saga and Welcome to the Rileys actress “is in the final stages of negotiation and will officially sign next week.” Palak Patel’s tweets were quickly deleted but were snared and copied in their entirety by an intrepid few. They read:

@aurastew KStew is officially playing Snow White and her deal is in final negotiations and will close next week.

@cenup official confirmation coming next week. But we are in final negotiations.

The cast for Snow White and the Huntsman already includes “Charlize Theron, who will play the evil queen, and Viggo Mortensen, who will play the titular huntsman.” Snow White and the Huntsman‘s plot synopsis:

Snow White…, an 18-year-old princess whose only friends are animals, is getting more beautiful by the day as her step-mother, the Evil Queen Ravenna (…Charlize Theron) gets more and more jealous. When Ravenna tries to kill Snow White, but Snow White escapes with the help of a hunstman named Eric (…Viggo Mortensen) who is trying to get revenge on the Queen. Eric is very gruff but teaches Snow White how to fend for herself against the evil creatures of the forest. When she eats a poisonous apple, her childhood sweetheart Prince Charmant must kiss her in order to unfreeze her lips and give her the potion to heal her. She thinks she’s in love with Eric, but he assures her that Prince Charmant is her one true love.
