The new movie trailers for Spider-man: Homecoming (2017) may be the most entertaining promos for the film that have been released. Both movie trailers feature new footage but the international trailer ties Spider-man: Homecoming directly into Captain America: Civil War.

During the trailers, the viewer is given the motivation of the criminal group led by Vulture (Michael Keaton). The viewer is also shown that group’s advanced weaponry and where they acquired it.

All of these elements add an entirely new level of depth to Spider-man: Homecoming. The backstory of Vulture and his criminal organization has been integrated into the first The Avengers film and Marvel storylines in and around New York City. Hopefully Vulture is not vanquished at the end of the film but that’s hoping for too much.

It is very impressive how Marvel has integrated Spider-Man (Tom Holland) into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also integrated are a gaggle of gadgets into Spider-Man’s outfit. How does a micro-computer  fit into a fabric costume? It’s cool, don’t get me wrong, but how is that possible? Anthony Edward “Tony” Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) gave Spider-Man something worth millions of dollars for Spider-Man’s own personal use.
