Spiderman 4 and Spiderman 5 shot Back-to-Back

First Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen reclaim the XXX franchise and now Tobey steps back into Spiderman’s tights. The next two Spiderman flicks will be shot back-to-back, the first to be released in 2011. But that isn’t the most notable part of this story. It’s the fact that Spiderman star Tobey McGuire will net $50 Million before taxes for both films and special film schedule concessions. “$50 Million. Who you think you got? Chelsea Clinton?” – Chris Tucker, Rush Hour. That’s around what Arnold Schwarzenegger would get for two films during his prime. Tobey’s agent must have dropped to his or her knees when that deal was inked because they get a percentage of it. Wow. What a pay day all around and for only two flicks. The reception for Spiderman 3 was mixed (to be polite) so the news that two more are being prepped isn’t setting off the fireworks this announcement would have in Spiderman 3 had been better written (they never should have shoe-horned Venom into the film). So what do you think? Are you looking forward to Spiderman 4 and Spiderman 5?
