Split Trailer 2

The second movie trailer for Split (2017) has been released by Universal Pictures. This trailer shows more of the personalities that are in Kevin (James McAvoy)’s head and the role they play in the film. The little boy personality and the older woman personality are given strong presentations in this promo.  The older woman personality is not stupid, sensing something is amiss, while Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy) tries to manipulate the little boy personality (which seems to back-fire).

M. Night Shyamalan has had an extended dry spell. Split is increasing looking like the director’s return to form.

Split‘s plot synopsis: “While the mental divisions of those with dissociative identity disorder have long fascinated and eluded science, it is believed that some can also manifest unique physical attributes for each personality, a cognitive and physiological prism within a single being. Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him—as well as everyone around him—as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.”

Split also stars Lyne Renee, Jessica Sula, Neal Huff, Maria Breyman, Peter Patrikios, Haley Lu Richardson, Brad William Henke, Sterling K. Brown, Sebastian Arcelus, Betty Buckley, Steven Dennis, Jon Douglas Rainey, and Kim Director.
