Standoff Trailer. Adam Alleca‘s Standoff (2015) movie trailer stars Laurence Fishburne, Thomas Jane, and Jim Watson. Standoff‘s plot synopsis: “Carter (Thomas Jane), a troubled veteran who gets a chance at redemption by protecting a 12 year-old girl from an assassin after she witnesses a murder.

Holding a shotgun with a single shell, he engages in physical and psychological warfare in a desperate fight for the girl’s life.”

According to Birth.Movies.Death, “I don’t know that Standoff is going to be a good movie, necessarily, but this trailer is totally speaking my language. Here we have Laurence Fishburne, a pretty intimidating guy, going totally HAM on everyone he comes across. Sold! Then the girl he’s trying to kill runs into a house owned by an increasingly B-level Thomas Jane (too bad this isn’t a sequel to Stander). Sold! The two guys appear to have a movie-long stand-off which involves lots of gunshots, angry threats, and torture. You already have my money!”
