CBS‘s Star Trek: Discovery: Season 1, Episode 8: Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum TV Show Trailer stars Sonequa Martin-Green. Lt. Saru (Doug Jones) figures heavily in the trailer for the the next episode of the show.

Star Trek: Discovery: Season 1’s plot synopsis from CBS:

Star Trek, one of the most iconic and influential global television franchises, returns 50 years after it first premiered, with Star Trek: Discovery. The series will feature a new ship, new characters and new missions, while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers. Star Trek: Discovery premieres September 24 on CBS All Access.

The episode will feature, via IMDB, Sonequa Martin-Green, Jason Isaacs, Emily Coutts, Mary Wiseman, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Clare McConnell, Kenneth Mitchell, Sara Mitich, Anthony Rapp, Patrick Kwok-Choon, Marco PerrettaDamon Runyan, and Rainn Wilson.

It’s a bit surprising, but Saru has not featured very much in Discovery so far. This all seems to be set to change according to the promo for Sunday’s upcoming episode, which sees him recounting how he has known fear all his life as scenes of varying levels of destruction play out. However, he notes that he has known this fear “until now”, indicating that a big change is on the plate for him.
