Gwendoline Christie Captain Phasma Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Gwendoline Christie to Return for Star Wars: Episode VIII. We have not seen the last of Captain Phasma. After her appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it has been confirmed that Gwendoline Christie will return to reprise her role as the Commander in Star Wars: Episode VIII.

Chatting with People Magazine during the Screen Actor Guild Awards, Gwendoline Christie was asked about whether she would return for Star Wars: Episode VIII. The actress replied, “I will be in the next Star Wars movie. I think that’s an exclusive, actually.” Despite being in a few scenes during Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Christie gained some attention for her character because of her unique look as a Chrome Storm Trooper. With Star Wars: Episode VIII already filming since January, we should expect the actress to return to filming the sequel soon. Hopefully her character gets expanded in the next film as well.
