STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (2015): First TV Spot Focuses on Rey

Daisy Ridley Star Wars The Force Awakens TV Spot

New Footage Shown From Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This new TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just premiered online and on television offering some new footage from the film. The video offered some more teases on Rey’s connection with the story with a lot more action.

The new TV spot, which debuted on Twitter, offered some more action-packed footage as the focus went into Rey (Daisy Ridley). The most important piece of detail we get out of the trailer is these words: “I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes.” The trailer had a voice-over, which sounded like actress Lupita Nyong’o, who plays Maz Kanata.

It sounds like maybe one of our two new heroes may have a link to the last generation. Based on what we’ve seen in the trailer, it’s probably Rey who share the same eyes as another well-known character from the original trilogy. Perhaps it’s Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) or it could be another character from the franchise, but we won’t know until the movie comes out.

We also get some shots of the action scenes taking place between the First Order and the Resistance. From what we’ve seen so far, it looks like J.J. Abrams and his crew may have executed the aerial combat scenes to perfection.

Check out the new TV spot and let us know what you think and your theories on the new footage.
