STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (2015): New Trailer Debuts with AVENGERS 2

XWing Fighters Star Wars The Force Awakens

New Star Wars 7 Trailer Will Premiere with The Avengers 2. Avengers: Age of Ultron will host a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). Walt Disney Pictures owns both the Star Wars franchise and The Avengers franchise. Pairing one with the other is a savvy marketing idea, especially since both films are virtually guaranteed to be blockbusters. ‘Drafting’ off of one-another will only serve to deepen the turnout and possible fan-base for both film properties. There will be some people that see Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015 solely to see the new trailer for Star Wars (this phenomenon has transpired previously).

There is no word yet on whether that will be the second trailer for the film or some new trailer down the line.

Whatever numerical trailer it may be, after it premieres before Age of Ultron, it will later be seen on another Disney property, Tomorrowland, which will be released in theaters on May 22, 2015. By that point though it will have been all over the Internet for weeks, dissected and conjectured over.

There is also Into the Woods, Cinderalla, and the Super Bowl as trailer ad spots to consider. The former two are also Disney properties and will debut in-theater between now in Age of Ultron‘s release. The latter is one of the biggest ad events of the year. It may be foolish for Disney to forgo such an opportunity and they might not plan on to.

What is your guess? Do one think we will get one or more trailers before the trailer event now surrounding Avengers: Age of Ultron?
