The IMAX movie trailer for Sully (2016) has premiered for the Clint Eastwood directed film. This trailer deals directly with the landing in the Hudson. This trailer also shows all the options thrown at Captain Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) before the landing that were untenable.

Before the trailer begins, the viewer gets to see the real Captain Chesley B. ‘”Sully” Sullenberger III. He and director Clint Eastwood talk about the persecution Sully endured that most people do not know occurred after landing in the Hudson River.

Sully‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III, “On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.”

Sully also stars Anna Gunn, Aaron Eckhart, Sam Huntington, Laura LinneyAutumn Reeser, Jerry Ferrara, Jeff Kober, Holt McCallany, Tracee Chimo, Chris Bauer, Mike O’Malley, Valerie Mahaffey, Gary Weeks, and Max Adler.
