SUPERGIRL: First Look at Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy Lane [CBS]

Mehcad Brooks Jenna Tatum-Dewan Melissa Benoist Supergirl

First Photo of Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy Lane on Supergirl Gets Released. When Supergirl debuts on CBS, expect for one of the Lanes to appear on the show. The reason is because we got our first look at Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lois’ sister Lucy Lane on the series.

EW gave our first look at Lucy Lane, who will appear in the series as an old ex-flame of Mehcad Brooks’ James Olsen. The magazine also interviewed EP Ali Adler regarding Lucy’s arrival in the series and what it would mean for Melissa Benoist’s Kara and her romance with the photographer. “We hope to explore the history that Lucy has with James Olsen—or, as Lucy knows him, Jimmy Olsen,” she discloses. She also gives an open possibility of her father General Lane coming into the series.

I think we’re going to bring in her father. She not plays a romantic foil with whatever Kara and James are brewing, but people will also be surprised that she’s really a woman’s woman. She and Kara develop their own friendship, too. We’re not just bringing her in to purposefully create tension. She serves a larger story drive.

Seeing that Lucy will be more than a hurdle between Kara and James is a good thing, while having General Lane on the show would be a great way to mix things up in the near future. So check out the photo of Lucy on the series and let us know what you think.
