SUPERGIRL: New TV Spot Shows Supergirl Meeting Her Mother [CBS]

New Supergirl TV Promo Releases. CBS has just revealed a new 30-second promo for the upcoming superhero series Supergirl, and this one seems to be eerily similar to the Richard Donner Superman film. The promo shows Supergirl as she finally embraces her destiny.

In the new promo, we find Melissa Benoist’s Kara Zor-El who gets a message from his mother Alura (Laura Benanti). Alura gives a final message to her daughter telling her to follow her own path to greatness and embrace who she is. The scene is reminiscent to when Jor-El gave the same encouragement to his son Kal-El before he became Superman in Richard Donner’s film version of the character. We also see some support from Kara’s sister Alex (Chyler Leigh) and her new co-worker James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks). Check out the new TV spot and let us know what you think.
