SUPERGIRL: Show Looking to Cast A Young Superman [CBS]

Superman Supergirl

Supergirl To Cast A Young Superman. Even though Superman made some appearances on Supergirl through silhouettes and stand-ins, CBS is looking to cast someone to portray the Man of Steel, but with a slight difference. Instead of an adult, he will be shown as a 13-year-old in flashbacks.

In the earlier episodes of Supergirl, the show depicted Kara’s (Melissa Benoist) with blurry shots and from angles behind him. Well, TVLine reported that we will see him on the show, when he was a young teen. We will be getting a proper introduction to Kal-El on the show through flashback, in order to establish a connection between Kara and the teenage Clark Kent.

The show is looking to hire a 13-year-old actor with ‘future leading man looks’ to play the potentially recurring role. He will make an appearance during the 13th episode in the series’ freshman season. In the film Man of Steel, the 13-year-old Clark was portrayed by Teen Wolf’s Dylan Sprayberry.

So what do you guys think about this? Should they just hire someone to play the present day superhero or is getting a teenage version of him the right call?
