SUPERGIRL: Tyler Hoechlin to Return as Superman in Season Two Finale [The CW]

Tyler Hoechlin Superman Returns Supergirl

Superman Confirmed to Return in Season Two Finale of Supergirl

Kara (Melissa Benoist) is about to get another visit from her famous cousin, as Tyler Hoechlin will be reprising his role as Superman during the Supergirl’s second season finale. This should be good news to fans of the Man of Steel who has been waiting for a return to The CW hit series.

After his debut as Superman during Supergirl’s season premiere last fall, Tyler Hoechlin is expected to return towards the end of the season according to E! News. The actor received praise for his portrayal as the Man of Steel, so it’s not surprising that he’s coming back for another round in National City. These two will certainly have a lot of catching up to do during the episode. The synopsis for the season finale has been disclosed yet, but it’s safe to assume that Superman’s reason for his return may have something to do with helping Kara take down Rhea (Teri Hatcher) and her army as well as the growing threat of Cadmus.

The season is currently on hiatus, but when Supergirl returns at the end of the month, Kara will have to deal with somebody close to her who’s about to get in on her secret. We suspect it’s Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) but we won’t know until the show comes back in two weeks. The season finale where Tyler should make his appearance will air on May 22. Are you excited that Superman is returning to Supergirl in the season finale?
