SUPERGIRL: Superman Villain Mr. Mxyzptlk Coming for Season Two [The CW]

Mr. Mxyzptlk

Supergirl To Face Off Against Mr. Mxyzptlk in Second Season

Kara (Melissa Benoist) has faced many of Superman’s foes during her first two seasons of Supergirl and another one is about to make the list. Classic Superman villain Mr. Mxyzptlk is making his appearance in the second season for a two-episode arc.

ComicBook.com revealed that the iconic villain Mr. Mxyzptlk will be coming to Supergirl in the new year. No one has been chosen for the role yet, but we do know that he will appear in at least two episodes. Portrayed as more of a cartoonish character, he became a much serious threat in the comics recently during The New 52 line-up. For those not familiar with the character, Mr. Mxyzptlk is a fifth-dimensional imp who has the power to warp reality to his will and break the laws of physics by altering dimensions. He could erase anyone from existence, however he finds it fun to mess with the Man of Steel.

Perhaps Mr. Mxyzptlk would be better suited for the upcoming crossover between The Flash and Supergirl since he did pit them against each other in the comics. We will have to wait and see how this all plays out when the villain makes his debut on Supergirl. How do you think Mr. Mxyzptlk will fit into the world of Supergirl?
