TABOO (2016) TV Mini-Series Trailer: Tom Hardy’s Travels have Changed Him [FX]

Tom Hardy Taboo

Taboo Promo. FX‘s Taboo (2016) TV Mini-Series trailer stars Tom Hardy, Leo Bill, Oona Chaplin, David Hayman, and Michael Kelly. Taboo‘s plot synopsis: “Set in 1814, Taboo follows James Keziah Delaney, a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long dead, he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father’s shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But his father’s legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder, and betrayal, a dark family mystery unfolds in a combustible tale of love and treachery.”

This TV mini-series looks very good, especially since James Keziah Delaney (Tom Hardy) seems to be in a one man versus the world scenario. His homecoming is sour, with enemies stupidly making themselves known before he can even sit his hat down on the table.

I am looking forward to seeing what adventures Delaney had and how they changed him, especially his work with “the Leviathan,” the East India Company.

FX is one of the few cable channels that gets away with showing R-rated material on the airwaves. Because of that, FX is one of the only channels an eight-episode mini series this raw could be aired on.

Taboo, produced by Ridley Scott and Steven Knight, also stars Jonathan Pryce, Scroobius Pip, Fiona Skinner, Jason Watkins, and Edward Hogg.

Taboo will supposedly air in 2016 on FX but it has no premiere date yet.
