The raunchy MacFarlane sequel has been given a release date. The follow-up to Seth MacFarlane’s highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time will hit theaters on June 26, 2015. The film is distributed by Universal Pictures in association with Media Rights Capital. MacFarlane returns as writer, director and co-star of Ted 2 along with star Mark Wahlberg. Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild return to write. MacFarlane produces alongside Bluegrass Films’ Scott Stuber, as well as John Jacobs and Jason Clark.
There is no word yet on whether or not any other cast members from the original film will return.

Wahlberg is currently filming Transformers: Age of Extinction. MacFarlene is currently in post-production on his latest film A Million Ways to Die in the West, which he both starred and directed.
