TEMPLE (2016) Short Film: A Genetic Disease Attacks Humanity in 2045 A.D.

Temple

Temple Short Film. Nguyen-Anh Nguyen‘s Temple (2016) short film stars Osric Chau and Yue Qi. Temple‘s plot synopsis: “2045 A.D. A new genetic disease is causing humans to reject their own organs. Cybernetic enhancements are the only means to survive. One desperate man is forced to steal cybernetic implants to save an innocent life.”

Why one man would kill another for an external body part is a strange proposition to swallow but an entertaining one to watch. An internal organ that can’t be replaced is one thing but the body part goal in this short film was another. If the infected body part is cut off or out, why do they need a cybernetic replacement to survive (if the cut out body part is not life-threatening)?
