TERMINATOR: GENESIS (2015): Jai Courtney cast as Kyle Reese

Jai Courtney A Good Day to Die Hard

Jai Courtney cast in Terminator Genesis. The casting of Jai Courtney in Terminator: Genesis (2015) answers the question of who will play the lead male role in the Alan Taylor directed film. Jai Courtney will play Kyle Reese.

On The Terminator franchise:

The Terminator series is a science fiction franchise encompassing a series of films and additional media concerning battles between Skynet’s artificially intelligent machine network, and John Connor’s Resistance forces and the rest of the human race.

Skynet’s most well-known products in its genocidal goals are the various terminator models, such as the original “Terminator” character, portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first film. Schwarzenegger also portrayed other Terminator characters; however, it is made clear that these are different units. The latest film in the franchise is Terminator Salvation, released in 2009 while Terminator: Genesis, the reboot of the series, is due for release in 2015.

Supposedly Terminator: Genesis will involve a trip into the future instead of one into the past. Writers did something similar in the first two episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Terminator: Genesis also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, and Emilia Clarke.

  • I’m mildly interested in this film. We’ve had so many bad Terminator films I don’t have high hopes. On the other hand, there are plenty of plot holes to fix. Jai will bring an intensity to the role.

  • Without Cameron breathing life into it, I’ll pass.
