TV Show Review

The Beast: Series Premiere

The Beast premiered yesterday on the A&E television channel. I am very surprised that a show of this quality is on A&E and not F/X or SpikeTV. Not since Dog the Bounty Hunter have I looked forward to a series on this television station. Patrick Swayze was a great choice as the lead character Charles Barker along with his newbie partner Ellis Dove (Travis Fimmel). Undercover FBI Agents have to be able to think outside of the box, “think, assess then react” very quickly and Barker puts Dove through the paces the first episode. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I hope A/E pulls more rabbits out of their hat and produces more shows of The Beast’s quality.
