As of now, the company hasn’t offered a date for said wider release, but it is working on arranging additional festival screenings for the film. However, it may be sometime before The Chamber hits American theaters, as no US distributors have picked the production up yet. That being said, the film may be picked up for American release sooner or later depending on the film’s reception at FrightFest and future festival screenings:

Parker previously made the short Shifter, which played at Fantastic Fest in Austin. Swedish actor Johannes Bah Kuhnke stars in his first role since breaking out internationally in Cannes Un Certain Regard winner Force Majeure. The story revolves around a special ops unit that commandeers a commercial research vessel and its submersible to locate a mysterious item at the bottom of the Yellow Sea. When an explosion causes the sub to overturn and take on water, a fight for survival ensues. Charlotte Salt (The Musketeers), James McArdle (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Elliot Levey (The Lady In The Van) also star. Producers are Jen Handorf and Paul Higgins. Executive producer is Hugh Spearing. Studiocanal UK, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week, is setting release and further festival plans.

**** We hired Reggie, fulfilled our obligations to him, and he quit in the middle of covering two TV series w/ no notice and no explanation. He then ignored our emails asking him to complete his coverage (we had no one else to cover those TV shows). He didn't care. We regret hiring him and we regret putting our trust in him. **** An aspiring writer, longtime film junkie, and former UCLARadio.com disc jockey (where I graduated with a BA in Political Science), I've made the jump from penning book reviews and current events editorials for HonorSociety.org to writing movie and TV news and reviews. When I'm not working towards my certificate in Radio and Television/Video Production at Fullerton College, I enjoy reading (horror, science fiction, and historical/political nonfiction are particular favorites), participating in my school's TV and theatre clubs, attending movie screenings, plays, concerts, and other events, and trying to come up with pithy things to say on social media. Believe it or not, there are occasions where I find time to write for my own leisure.
