A New The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist Set Photo Has Been Released. As I explained in my last news piece about this sequel, I’m glad to see James Wan return to the director’s chair of his film’s sequel – it’s a nice sign of confidence and gives us a sense that this isn’t just a shitty sequel, made by an unknown, with extra blood or scares to entice audiences. No, James Wan believes he can return to this and do better. That’s good to see. The cherry on top, of course, is that the actors have returned alongside him. That’s even better.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first film, but largely enjoyed it. Wan is very good at suspense, and letting tension stretch. Sometimes, though, he still goes for hacky shock-scares, which really ruin a lot of his moments for me. In any case, I’m glad he’s back – now we can compare the two films, and see if he’s grown, if at all.

Wan recently posted a photo of himself, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga on set of the film. Take a look!
