The CW Renews 10 TV Series

The CW Network today announced the renewal of ten of its primetime television series. These TV shows include: Arrow, Black Lightning, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, The Flash, Jane The Virgin, Riverdale, Supergirl, and Supernatural.

The CW President Mark Pedowitz had this to say about the renewals: “we are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19. By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come. And I’m especially happy that we’ll continue to work with the incredibly talented casts, producers, and writers who create the series our fans are so passionate about.”

Notably not present on this list are The 100 and iZombie. Most-likely, the former is due to The 100‘s fifth season not being on the air yet (The CW wants to see what the shows ratings will be) and latter also probably has to do with ratings and whether they warrant a renewal.

Also making CW news today is the fact that The CW will be expanding from five nights of primetime entertainment to six nights. This new primetime schedule begins in October 2018 and will from Sunday through Friday, 8:00-10:00 p.m.
