THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012): Hans Zimmer’s Soundtrack, All 15 Tracks

The Dark Knight Rises Soundtrack. Hans Zimmer‘s entire soundtrack for The Dark Knight Rises (2012), the entire 15 track score, has been released. Unlike the soundtracks for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight where Hans Zimmer worked with fellow composer James Newton Howard, this time Hans Zimmer did the entire composition himself. Track 3 entitled “Gotham’s Reckoning” is featured prominently in The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Prologue, 6-Minute Opening Scene. The only track missing from this collection seems to be Track 4, entitled “MInd If I Cut In?”. Perhaps I am wrong but I couldn’t find it.

The Dark Knight Rises‘ plot synopsis: “It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.

But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.“
