THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL (2015) Movie Trailer: Love, Lust, & Coming Of Age

The Diary Of A Teenage Girl Trailer. Marielle Heller‘s The Diary Of A Teenage Girl (2015movie trailer stars Bel PowleyAlexander Skårsgard, and Kristen Wiig. The Diary Of A Teenage Girl‘s plot synopsis: “Like most teenage girls, Minnie Goetze (Bel Powley) is longing for love, acceptance and a sense of purpose in the world. Minnie begins a complex love affair with her mother’s (Kristen Wiig) boyfriend, “the handsomest man in the world,” Monroe Rutherford (Alexander Skarsgård). What follows is a sharp, funny and provocative account of one girl’s sexual and artistic awakening, without judgment.”

It’s easy to dismiss yet another coming-of-age film coming out of Sundance. After all, we get three or four of these every year, and they’re sometimes hard to distinguish between. There’s a good actor pedigree here, however, and this could actually be as good as it claims to be.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
