In 2008, he appeared in another music video, Hinder’s “Without You”. In the same year, Lutz also appeared in the miniseries Generation Kill, based on the book by Evan Wright.

He played Emmett Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer and reprised his role for the sequel, released in November 2009. Lutz also appeared in A Nightmare on Elm Street as Dean, “a well-liked, well-off high school jock”, in April 2010, and as the feisty Poseidon, God of the Sea in Immortals (2011). Lutz was one of the candidates for the lead role in the upcoming film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. He was considered for the lead role in Conan the Barbarian but eventually lost out to Jason Momoa. In 2011, together with his Immortals co-star Mickey Rourke, he shot Java Heat movies in Indonesia.

He is currently signed with Ford Models. He is one of the models featured in the 2010 Calvin Klein X underwear campaign.

On Ronda Rousey:

Ronda Jean Rousey (born February 1, 1987) is an American mixed martial artist and judoka. She is the first and current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, as well as the last Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion. She has defeated all of her opponents by armbar in the first round.

At 17, Rousey qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, becoming the youngest judo competitor in the entire Games. Also in 2004, Rousey won a gold medal at the 2004 World Junior Judo Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

In April 2006, she became the first U.S. female athlete in nearly 10 years to win an A-Level tournament as she went 5-0 to claim gold at the Birmingham World Cup in Great Britain. Later that year, the 19-year-old won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships, becoming the first U.S. athlete ever to win two Junior World medals.

In February 2007, Rousey moved up to 70 kg where she is currently ranked as one of the top three women in the world. She won the silver medal at the 2007 World Judo Championships in the middleweight division and the gold medal at the 2007 Pan American Games.

In August 2008, Rousey competed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. She lost her quarterfinal to the Dutch ex-world champion Edith Bosch but qualified for a Bronze medal match through the repechage bracket. Rousey defeated Annett Boehm by Yuko to win a bronze medal (note: Judo offers two bronze medals per weight class). With the victory, Rousey became the first American to win an Olympic medal in women’s judo since its inception as an Olympic sport in 1992.

On Victor Ortiz:

“Vicious” Victor Ortiz (born January 31, 1987) is an American professional boxer of Mexican descent. He is a former WBC Welterweight Champion.

He was previously in the light welterweight division, where he held the USBA & NABO titles. Ortiz, with a crowd-pleasing, aggressive style, two-fisted power and boyish charm, was made the 2008 ESPN Prospect of the Year.

He was formerly rated as one of the “top three” welterweight boxers in the world by most sporting news and boxing websites, including The Ring, BoxRec.com, and ESPN.

The first loss and the two draws on Ortiz’s record are not counted as significant due to the fact the loss came by way of disqualification in the first round for knocking Corey Alarcon cold with an uppercut off a clinch. The first of two draws was a first-round technical draw in January 2007, when Ortiz faced Marvin Cordova Jr., when an accidental head-butt opened a cut on Ortiz’s forehead and rendered him unable to continue. The second draw was a controversial one against Lamont Peterson, as ESPN.com and HBO unofficial scorer Harold Lederman both had it 97-91 in favor for the 23-year-old Ortiz.
