THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6 and 7: Jason Statham possibly Cast

Jason Statham

Jason Statham may join The Fast and the Furious 6 and 7. The Fast and the Furious 6 and The Fast and the Furious 7 plus Jason Statham may be a win for both parties: Jason Statham has made a series of recent action films that are monolithic and disposable, call backs to the action films of the late 80’s earlier 90’s where the hero beats up/kills everyone and survives at the end, no matter what. The last of those films was Killer Elite. By joining The Fast and the Furious Franchise, his wilted star power will not be the only thing bolstering the film – it will be an ensemble cast. For The Fast and the Furious franchise, they will be adding another big name and more star power to their booming car racing franchise, a formula no one else has been able to successfully duplicate.

The series is apparently also circling the possibility of shooting the next films in the series back to back, saving the studio money and potential scheduling conflicts. It is unfortunate that Justin Lin will be not directing the films (a scheduling conflict with Terminator 5) as he breathed new life into the franchise with Fast & Furious, the best film in the series to date, reviewed here: Fast & Furious (2009) Movie Review.

On the sequels and Jason Statham:

Universal Pictures are currently looking in to the possibility of shooting Fast 6 and Fast 7 back to back in Europe throughout 2012 and, furthermore, that they are entering into preliminary conversations with Jason Statham to explore the possibility of the action star joining one or both films.

Most-likely starring in next The Fast and the Furious film, possibly entitled Fast Six or Furious Six (something clever like that), will be Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Tego Calderon, Don Omar, and Elsa Pataky.

I have one question for the makers who are casting. It says Rodriques is going to reprise her role as Letti. How when Letti was killed in the last one. Or is Dom avenging her death a figment of my imagination.

  • Spoilers…At the end of the last film, they indicated that Letti was in fact alive and had just committed a high-end robbery involving cars. They showed a recent pic of her alive as well.

End of the film or the credits. Thanks for the info seems I have to go and watch it again to see that. I quess I missed it.

  • At the end of Fast Five, where The Rock is sitting at his desk and a secretary brings him a file.

That may be why I haven’t seen that part of the story. I have not seen Fast Five yet.

  • I should have put *spoilers* in front of that comment.

  • you have to watch about i’d say 3 4 minutes after the casting stuff then you’ll see the scene with Letty in a picture. but the thing is with all five fast and furious they are not in the right order; tokio drift should be the last one after Han dies in the car accident; i think it’s in this order 1,2,4,5,3 as far as i know so far . if anyone knows better please correct me because i’m a little confused myself aswell

He did the Transporter films and that is all he did was drive in it for the most part. He would fit in to F and F just fine. Can’t wait.

Hey buddy no problem. You had no idea I never saw that one yet. Can’t be any worse than my daughter spoiling movies for me. It happens and sometimes it is a good thing. I wouldn’t stay after the credits for alot of movies if someone never told me something happened after it. Like in X- Men the Last Stand. After the credits Prof X was still alive. Or newer movies where they show stuff leading to another movie like The Avengers. So it is all good. At least I know to watch for it so thank you for the heads up.

  • That is the correct order.

  • Cool.

If you have ever watched garbage Resident Evil: Afterlife, there is a very cool scene after the credits start to roll but it wouldn’t make since if you have not seen the second film. I posted it here:

There is a cool scene after the credits of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as well: *Spoilers*… “You’re still here? Its over. Go home.”

Actually I love that franchise so yeah I seen that movie. Never liked the games but brother got me into number 5 and I play it all the time. I love the Horror movie franchise so I love watching zombies. Like the tv series The Walking Dead. Gunna go check that scene you posted to make sure I saw it or not. It probably leads into the next one they are making.

  • I like The Walking Dead as well and the RS:A scene does lead to the next film. Have you seen The Walking Dead: Torn Apart?:
