THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: 9th & 10th Film’s Release Dates Revealed

Vin Diesel Fast and Furious

Fast and Furious 9 and 10 Release Dates. The Fast and the Furious 8 will not be the last installment in the car crime saga. Series star Vin Diesel announced that there will be a ninth and tenth film in the franchise. The Fast and the Furious 8 will be released on April 14, 2017. The Fast and the Furious 9 will released on April 19, 2019. The Fast and the Furious 10 will released on April 2, 2021.

There is no word yet on who will be directing the last two films or who will be cast in the last two films, but one would assume that Vin Diesel’s Dominique Toretto will survive until the very end as will multiple members of his ‘family.’

The Fast and the Furious franchise started out with a so-so film overloaded with cool in 2001. Sequels followed but it was Fast & Furious in 2009, the best film in the series in my opinion (I haven’t seen the last film in the series), that turned everyone head back to the series with good story-telling, a death in the ‘family’ and a satisfying finale. With the release of Furious 7 in 2015, the franchise made the most money with one of its films to date, $1.51 Billion.

The remaining three films in the series (though a Hobbs spin off has been rumored for years now) surely hope to capitalize on that momentum.
