Written and directed by Eli Roth, The Green Inferno stars Lorenza IzzoRichard BurgiSky Ferreira, Matías López, and Ariel Levy.

The Green Inferno‘s plot synopsis: ““A group of student activists travels to the Amazon to save the rain forest and soon discover that they are not alone, and that no good deed goes unpunished.”

As you can see from the above list of previously published pieces on Eli Roth’s latest homage to Cannibal Holocaust (1980), I’m very excited to see his newest film. I’m hungering for serious violence, guts, gore, and merciless slaughter. No more haunted houses, no more dream-worlds, no more ouji boards and no more spooky mirrors that kill people. This is what I want.

If it delivers, is another question entirely. For now, I’m pretty satisfied with all the trailers, marketing, and reviews. This is a promising dose of cathartic violence, and there’s a new clip to prime you for the film.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
